Tale as old as time as they dance about the floor spinning kind of blind to what they never saw big brutish body so light on its hooves and she like a gliding angel admiringly approves body heat melting barriers a passtime they now share silent witness is the room under the glare of Lumière as the fire roars its disapproval for he'd be lion if he told she's not all sweet and bold in her darker moments he's watched her do such things that spark his flaming wrath yet her praises the master sings reflections of colours like stars shoot across the room like headlights of speeding cars sure to crash into their doom he with such a giving heart desperate for love at any cost she trying to break them apart making him doubt and feel lost the Beast his fur all pampered ridiculous trying to be so genteel and her hiding her dark secrets all the items she's planning to steal Dark Arts books in a library a vast seductive treasure trove let the Beast dream wishfully let him believe that this is love he will always indulge her little advancements every day the more his passions she'll stir the less likely to turn her away her petite hand wraps about him she leans coyly against his chest Cogsworth in the corner looks grim suggesting he knows best but she'll win them all over charm the master, slay those under she deserves this lifestyle filled with riches, heaped with wonder and so she dares a kiss meek and timid the lightest brush and his inner hope at this makes the music still and hush he only has eyes for her only hears her heart beat in time the evening goes by in a blur she chooses to cross that line his naive beauty so endearing acceptance is all that he craves her monstrous intentions not revealing she's leading them all to their graves ....and the music plays on that is constant at least as the household all looks upon a Beauty and a Beast. © .Garry Saunders
