Yes Amanda dear… Does God really exist... Well yes baby, of course He does… How do you know mommy... Well Amanda, let me tell you a story… When I was about your age, maybe a little younger, I asked your mamma the same question. Is there a God? I asked this question, because on this particular night the Lord God took my daddy home to Heaven. As a little girl, your mamma told me this, and I didn’t understand what Heaven was. So each cloudless night, I would walk over to my bedroom window and gaze up at the sky. And every time I did so, I would have it in my mind to name a new star that I would pick out. Those would be the names of new puppies that daddy would own at his home in the sky. After a while, I began to see shapes in the stars. As I would watch them, occasionally one would wink at me. And whenever it did, I would smile and say, Thank You daddy, I see you too… Now after a long while, when I grew up, my mommy went up to be with daddy as well. On that day, I really really cried. Because see, daddy by this time had owned all the stars in the sky. I was very very sad that mommy was up in Heaven with no puppies. Then, on a warm summer night, like tonight, daddy whispered to me from Heaven and said… Charlene … Charlene, there is no need to shed any tears… And then I asked why? And my mommy said… Because my Brother Jesus just gave me a whole litter of kitty cats of my own… So you see Amanda, there is a God, and His Son is Jesus. He saves littles puppies, and little kitty cats, for you and me to give to loved ones when they go to Heaven… Mommy, when Uncle Jesus gave the kitty cats to mamma in Heaven, did you name the kitty cats?...
