When the house is empty it's just a simple frame. A shelter from the cold, the wind and pouring rain. When those we love return to us. This house returns to home again. In these few words is wisdom learned. Our home is where the heart lives. This life, so unpredictable from one day to the next. It seems when you get comfortable the unexpected happens next. You get a call, a shadow falls. Someone you love, so suddenly gone. The storm and rain collided inside. Your heart and mind cannot defy the grief and pain you feel inside. Upon a wooden plaque that hung, the front door of our family home. These words are written truthfully, giving solace in a time of grief. '...Our home is where the heart lives' the lines of some old poem. There's wisdom in those words that there is hope beyond our sorrow. °○~ • 🥀 The Old Poem🌹•~○° They've just stepped away like any day. They’ve only stepped away. To journey near, a joyful place. In thought or quiet wondering. In the heart we feel them, we know that they are near. We see each moment shared with them, we hear a voice that says, 'they're only just away.' For in our depths we know the truth, our home is where the heart lives. . As we wait and as we linger in longing for the day. Our reunion, in that life beyond in paradise we'll be. I will not say it's easy to live with just memories. We must live on, as God intended. We must live our lives for them, our link remains. Eternal flame, 'Our Home is where the heart lives.' ▪︎~○°•⊙ ❤ ⊙•°○~▪︎ There are no words to take away the sadness and the grief. Nor should there be, at least for me. The pain of loss reflects how great our loved one really means to us. In time and faith we'll find God's grace. Our loved ones home in God's embrace.
