As I bluntly speak, My words abide and trickle With regretful form, From smacked lips so numb To writher through a rustic breeze Quenched of lessons learnt, In a time before my heart Shielded the beats between our screams Like a wind chime singing the day away, A bludgeoned breath too stale To escape such a suffocating stare Into the wilderness of death.
