The fear of abandonment isn't always the fear of being alone. Sometimes it's the fear of having your trust broken. The fear of letting someone in and giving them all you have only to have them leave with the pieces that you gave them. The fear of having your hopes up only to have them be shattered like glass. The fear of emotionally instability and the period of empties that follows your unannounced departure. I'm not scared of being Alone.
