I am a bit late to the party but I finally finished the Mass Effect trilogy and I cannot put into words how hard that ending hit. I think it has been a while since I had so much fun playing a game. Partly I blame that fact on Commander Shepard and all her badassery, which makes the whole thing even sadder. So this is my tribute to a fantastic character and I cannot wait to play the whole thing again once the remaster is released.

Hey, don't worry about being late. Speaking as someone who had similar experiences with Half-Life and Bioshock, I can say that the phrase "better late than never" usually applies here.
I'll admit when I first played Mass Effect 3, I didn't quite understand why so many people hate the ending. I THINK a lot of it has to do with it being a fixed ending with variations, while some players would have preferred to have a couple different possible endings (as in, some endings besides Shepard confronting the AI behind the Reapers), which I can kinda see, but I thought it suited the game quite nicely. Admittedly it is a bit hard since there isn't really a happy ending for Shepard, who has to sacrifice herself one way or another, but that kinda fits with the overarching tone of the games up to this point.

As someone who also came to the franchise fairly late, I just want to say, welcome! Always happy to hear about more people coming in to this incredible trilogy.
As for the art, I just have to say, this is spectacular. You've done an amazing job rendering Shepard's battered but determined look, but the background really rounds it out. Awesome work!
