The Paradox of Failure

You have to fail more to succeed more. Our greatest moments of growth often stem directly from our greatest moments of failure.

Don’t fear failure. Learn to fail smart and fast—never fail the same way twice.

Polyphony

Polyphony is a characteristic of Western music.

It began when singers started improvising with parallel melodies, with emphasis on fourth (ex. C to F) and fifth (ex. C to G) intervals." target="_blank" class="inline-link">https://www.liveabout.com/... This marked the start of polyphony wherein several musical lines were combined.

As singers continued experimenting with melodies, polyphony became more elaborate and complex.

Tangerine Reflection

Exoskeletal waste
      peeled off in sickening
                        stretches of torn
       bone marrow ripping.

T
O
 S           aside as
  S           rubbish.
   E
    D

Rummage through file cabinets of
                        trials,habits,love
                      and
all the other trivial things
  we can't breath without.

Sticky soul penetrated by a
      roaming finger.
                   Lingering aftertaste.
                        Smash the case
                         and open up
                           my mind

or don't.

Who cares either way?

Pulp sculpted into a car wreck victim's
heart,beating in a soggy pile.

Terrains of orange like the
straining morning trying to invade the horizon again.

Adjust the tint knob.
Life is green.
And always moreso on the other side
                                    of discovery.

Rubbery shrapnel.
Apples to oranges is the equation of my existence.

Armor annihilated and discarded.
Amour,why?These flakes span our parted
                                ways
                             my melting
                                dove.

Helen Gallagher began her busy Broadway career in the 1940s and won Tony Awards for her roles in revivals of the musicals “Pal Joey” and “No, No, Nanette.” When theater roles faded, she turned to TV, principally as a star of the soap opera “Ryan’s Hope.” https://t.co/LeTeDR2MJN

If I could

If I could
Do everything over...
I wouldn't

If I could
feel the end coming...
I wouldn't

If I could
make you understand...
I wouldn't

If I could
trust you...
I wouldn't

If I could
end it all...

I would
