Ken Parker’s guitars were displayed in art museums, but he did not think of them as art objects. “I’m a toolmaker,” he said. “I make tools for musicians.” He has died at 73. https://t.co/61QRQcs9uI

13 The Great Wall of China is the only man-made structure visible from space.

According to Snopes, this false" target="_blank" class="inline-link">https://www.snopes.com/fac... fact most likely developed as an attempt to convey the grand scale of the wall. From low space at 180 miles high, the Great Wall is not the only visible object, nor is it the most distinguishable.

14 Marie Antoinette said "let them eat cake" to spite the poor.

She's long been a loathed symbol of royal decadence for replying to the news that French citizens had no bread in 1789 with the callous phrase, "Let them eat cake." But historians aver that the Queen of France made no such comment.

The internet as saviour and executioner of democracy

In traditional markets, firms make goods to satisfy the preferences of consumers. But the market on social media and the internet exists to serve the needs of the advertisers, not the consumers. These markets sell information about their users to advertisers.

On social media, users"pay" for free services by giving up their data to unspecified third parties who use it to expose them to tailored ads. This economic model is driving online platforms to exploit their users' cognitive limitations and vulnerabilities.

3. Consider More Things As Art.

Anything within the context of art is art. It might make you roll your eyes to think about a highly paid artist flinging paint at a canvas like a toddler. But much as John Cage taught us the difference between noise and sound, seeing art that you disagree with can challenge your notions, or help you suss out your beliefs.

Never Broken

My heart is in your hands. What will you do with it?
I give it freely; I've not had it broken before.
I may not deserve it, but I hope we end together.
We may not make it, but we have to try, right?
How could we sacrifice what we have, something so beautiful.
These are the things dreams are made of, that which we have,
Things sometimes never achieved.
We have.

You tell me you're mine, if I ever want you.
How could you even doubt it?
I never have.

You say you're independent - so am I.
You don't want to be tied down too early.
I'll help you fly.

You say you don't want to spend eternity without me.
What kind of God would do that to us?
Not any God of mine.

Time wasted on meaningless pastimes, without you.
So many things I want you to see, to be with me through.
I can't wait for the day I never leave you, together.
The day we become one, in God's eyes, forever.

Love does not begin to say it all.
