The Franklin Institute has long said its Wright Brothers plane was a gift from Grover Bergdoll, a wealthy, World War I draft dodger who came to be widely scorned. His family is now challenging that account. https://t.co/JGs4UXJT35

Cold Moon

blue seclusion
illuminating the midnight forest
every breath sending a cloud of cold crystals
it is all the best

looking at the cold blue moon
wondering.....
Will I die soon?
Is this the last thing of beauty I see?

And something tells me no
To keep living my life
Because....
There is another full moon
Around the corner

The most important sentence in any writing: the first one

  • If it doesn’t induce the reader to proceed to the second sentence, your work is dead. Of such a progression of sentences, each tugging the reader forward until he is hooked, a writer constructs that fateful unit, the “lead.”

  • Do not count on the reader to stick around. Readers want to know very soon what’s in it for them.
