I could stand here and challenge fate
With no one else but you
Is it all worth the wait
Or will you just hurt me too
I’ve learned to stand behind
Everything you’ve said
Just when everyone said
I should listen to them instead
You have put me on a pedestal
I’ll always call you king
You tell me I’m your angel
Let me fix your broken wing
I need to be complete
I need to take my chance
If our souls are meant to meet
Lets give them the chance to dance

It’s difficult to look at Gen Z and not confine us to these stereotypes. We are the first generation to not know a world without the internet. I remember my first introduction to it—I was around six, I played Barbie.com games to pass the time and watched pirated episodes of Sailor Moon (thanks sis). Today, I’m on my laptop 24/7, and I cannot remember a life without screens or technology.

the empty feeling
the pain
the suffering
wanting to say bye
but not being able to
the silence of death would suck

Why can't you just leave me alone
Just stay out of my life, it's too hard w/ you here
I have somebody else now
Somebody I can actually hold near
Do I want you back?
Why ask a question you already know
I still love you with everything I have
I don't think I will ever be able to let you go
Sometimes I can't hold back the memories of you
Remembering what you do makes me cry
I'd give anything to have you here
Forgetting your face makes me want to die
I've never had anything as good as you
But with all good comes bad
I will never have anyone love me like you
I wish we still had what we had
You want me back and you make it sound so easy
Break up with him and it'll be like it used to be?
If only I knew you could make your words come true
I'd do anything if you could just make me see
Don't hurt me anymore, I can't do it
It's not as easy as it sounds, you're killing me
I'm going to hurt regardless
Just leave me alone, and let things be
I'll love you forever, you know I will
If only I knew your love was the same
One more tear over you will leave me dry
If only I were up for the game
Do you “feel” like your age? Our culture, families, and friends help us create an idea of what “being 25” or “being 40” or “being 60” should look like, but the truth is, there is no one way to define what a person should have accomplished by a given age. Still, you might feel uncomfortable if your perception of yourself doesn’t align with your idea of what being an adult of a certain age should look like—but there are steps you can take to help manage those expectations and focus on your reality.

Antonin Dvorak: Symphony" target="_blank" class="inline-link">https://open.spotify.com/t... No. 9 in E Minor, Op. 95, B. 178 “From the New World”: II. Largo
Reverent, wistful, wise, both Whitman and Dvorak take a sweeping look back over the trials and triumphs of life with a sense of closure and acceptance. The poem and the piece are a salute to life as it stands, happiness and heartbreak included. Rather than a continuum, we feel the past and present all at once—ending not with a bang, but with a whisper.
- Art as Representation or Mimesis. Representation of art as an imitation or copying became the mainstream meaning of art in Greece. Plato first developed the idea of art as “mimesis,” which, in Greek, means copying or imitation. How immaculately it replicated the original subject became the measure of its value.
- Art as Expression of Emotional content. Dramatic, sublime and heartfelt art becomes a way to express oneself during the Romantic movement , with audience response becoming key to the valuation of the content. The emotions that were felt when the art was witnessed became its barometer for success.
- Art as Form. Formal qualities of art became influential in the 18th century, with the principles of art and design, like balance, rhythm, harmony and unity became as important as the content of the work of art.
